Error message during the activation process of Avira product

Due to an outdated or incorrect security setting of your system, it may happen that an error message will occur during the activation process of your Avira product (Error 3:12031).

Avira Antivirus: A secure internet connection is required to activate the product (SSL encrypted)


Please verify and configure your system settings if necessary.

 
Windows XP

  1. Open the Internet Options:
    Start → Settings → Control Panel → Netzwerk- und Internet Connections → Internet Options
  2. Click the tab Advanced and scroll down to the submenu Settings
  3. Enable the option:

    Use TLS 1.0

  4. Click Apply and OK to save the configuration

Windows 7

  1. Open the Internet Options:
    Start-Button → Control Panel → Network and Internet → Internet Options

  1. Open the Control Panel by clicking the keyboard shortcut Windows logo + X
  2. Click Control Panel
  3. Open the Internet Options: Network and Internet → Internet Options
  4. Click the tab Advanced and scroll down to the submenu Settings
  5. Enable the options:

    Use TLS 1.0
    Use TLS 1.1
    Use TLS 1.2

  6. Click Apply and OK to save the configuration

  1. Click with the right mouse button on the Windows start symbol in the lower left hand corner of your screen and then with the left mouse button on Control Panel → Network an Internet → Internet Options

Hello, I got an error when trying to run a scan with the basic Avira anti-virus. Then tried to uninstall and re-install the program to see would that fix it. Now I'm getting a message in a box titled Set Up, it's telling me that I have an Errorcode:7, "Set Up could not determine the feature control file or wasn not able to read it correctly". Can you help me fix this please, I don't know if my pc is protected.

I have been using the free Avira anti-virus product for years on an old Windows XP computer. It recently began giving me error messages and I uninstalled it and downloaded the current version. It refuses to install. I have checked that all my internet properties are set as recommended. As soon as I try to run avira_en_av_5699622733_ws.exe I get the error message "Avira has encountered a problem and needs to close. We are sorry for the inconvenience." Can you suggest a remedy?

Payed € 60 for Avira anti virus suite. The installation gives an error 24 code. Autorization problem. After mailing the support cente, they gave me a standard reaction with the standard installition instruction. I mailed Avira severall times that the instruction doesn't work. Avira doesn't react anymore. Very disappointing. No more Avira for me in the future.

I buy a new licence for 3 pc the May 20, 2015....Unfortunately, on my pc, I have an errorcode 7....I try to uninstall, and re install several times, but always the same error. And I receive from Avira a message to buy a new licence because I must absolete about my protection dates... The installation is ok only on 1 pc.....J have to install a other antivirus in test, and this one is parfaitly OK. Give me your response for this errorcode 7. Thank you.
