@Max
I have this problem for three weeks now. I am in constant touch with German Avira support for one week. They told me the problem is caused by the real time scanner. There are crashes due to too high processor load, while Antivirus is updating files and scanning the computer simultaneously.
My PC froze twice to three times a day. Together with Avira support, we tried to collect relevant dump-data on this problem. However, Windows even crashed while uploading these data to Avira servers.
On Thursday last week, I was told to remove Antivirus from my PC to avoid more crahes until the problem is fixed. This is expected to be end of November. Since removing Antivirus, I have running Malwarebytes and Windows Defender. No more crashes occured up to now.
On Friday, I got last information from Avira, saying there should be a hotfix this Monday, Nov. 14. I will wait until Tuesday, before reinstalling Antivirus again.
Good luck for you,
Marc
