How do I purchase and install Avira Antivirus Pro?

Avira Antivirus Pro can be purchased online or at one of our retailers. This article explains how to purchase the product from our website and install it on your device.


Online purchase
  1. Browse to the Avira Official Store and click on the Purchase now button.
  2. Select first the number of devices you want to protect and then the period of protection.
  3. Check your order and click Proceed To Checkout.
  4. Enter the required information and click Next Step.
  5. Review your data, accept the Terms and Conditions and click Buy Now.
  6. You will be notified per email regarding the Antivirus installation and the payment transaction.

Install the product
  1. Open the received Avira email and double-click on the link "Install and activate now".
  2. You will be redirected to your Avira Account where you need to login with the purchase email and to create a password.
  3. Click Download.
  4. Double-click the downloaded Avira installation file.
  5. Follow the Avira setup by clicking Accept and Install.
  6. The successful installation of your Avira product will be displayed.
  7. Open Avira Antivirus and perform an update if necessary.

Il mio Avira Antivirus Pro non riesce ad aggiornarsi : scarica regolarmente i file d'aggiornamento ma non li installa, nel file di report viene fuori la seguente scritta " 9.29.16 [UPD] [ERROR] Impossibile copiare 'C:\Programmi\Avira\AntiVir Desktop\local001.vdf' in 'C:\Documents and Settings\All Users\Dati applicazioni\Avira\Antivirus\UPDATE\VALIDATION\local001.vdf'. Errore: 32
9.29.18 [UPD] [ERROR] Validazione del motore fallita. Errore: 4294967294".
Mi potete aiutare (possibilmente in Italiano)?

I purchased the THREE COMPUTER - Avira Anti-virus PRO deal for 24 months and installed it on the first computer without a problem. The 2nd computer which sits beside the first?? Well I've spent an hour of precious time on that so far without success.
I asked for and received a 2nd VALIDATION CODE - but when I click on the GET STARTED button in the validation code email and enter that code the screen says "AVIRA PRODUCT ALREADY IN USE" Well duh - yes it is in use on computer ONE but the Computer 2 Avira task bar button reveals only that AVIRA FREE is operating on this computer.
So what's the deal here? I thought I bought protection for 3 computers. It says I bought protection for 3 computers -- but this computer with a second different activation code says "ALREADY IN USE" when it clearly is not in use on this computer.

How about a fixing this problem and quit wasting my time? OR REFUND MY MONEY

sounds like this has lots of problems ... and yes i have a list of problems
many of which are listed ... time to get it fixed ..

oh and lets not mix up the treads it really is annoying and confusing with multiple problems and suggestions on the same thread ....... you know hijacking a thread

my first question is ....... the webpage /control panel does not view correctly , i have to decrease text page size to see it completly .. then it is too small to read

second question
how can i change from free avira to pro

or is this just a bitch board ...
