Is Avira Antivirus compatible with the new Microsoft patch for the Meltdown vulnerability?

The Meltdown vulnerability in Intel chips show that even hardware can have security issues.

Avira is aware of the recent Microsoft security update KB4056892 (OS Build 16299.192) from Jan 3, 2018, and a possible compatibility issue with antivirus software.
With our latest product update Avira Antivirus Free, Avira Antivirus Pro and Avira Antivirus Server are compatible with the Microsoft update.

We recommend to our users to opt for automatic updates of their antivirus software as well as to install all Windows updates immediately.

Avira Antivirus products are compatible with MacOS and Android updates aiming to fix Meltdown and Specter vulnerabilities.

CPU: Intel Inside I7-4790K
OS: Windows 10 Pro Insider Preview Build 17074.rs_prerelease_fltg.180116-1539
AV: avira_es_av_5a6383ed6fd32__ws.exe (trying to install, like it was before the meltdown/spectre OS patch)

Installation was not completed, and the computer restarted suddenly, resulting in a boot loop. The error was given by "C: \windows\system32\drivers\avusbflt.sys", so I deleted it from the command line of the Windows Recovery Environment, along with other Avira files (Program Files, ProgramData,...).
